If it wasn't the the MASSIVE loving amount of lighting errors, this whole area would look amazing. I found covers, overhangs, etc. If someone could load all the changes of the area and run some program to force light updates, you could use this place.

Edit: These mountains, too: 880, 100, -230

Edit2: Massive floating island: 440, 103, -383

Edit3: Minecraft 1.6 general:

Jeb just stated horses will be harder to find in the wild now, and their equipment will only be found in dungeon chests. However, dungeons will now have more chests. I hope this doesn't include horse saddles... probably does... "Find dungeons again. :(" ?

It's amazing how much influence the Mindcrackers have over the Minecraft dev team. In his latest eoisode of Minecraft VintageBeef said that he wanted to be able to place rugs on glowstone -

now that i think about it, mojang is a lot like the american government.

The luckiest thing ever just happened to me

I was adventuring in caves as is my wont with no armor as is also my wont and I got cornered by about 3 creepers and a zombie while in water. I died, and minecraft crashed about a second after that.
I reopened minecraft and went back into that world and I appeared above where I had been before, with all my items and exp. I considered myself lucky at that, but then made my way back down to where I was

AND THERE WERE ALL MY ITEMS

I doubled everything valuable that I had on me at the time.
Unfortunately I hadn't run into diamonds yet but still it's an incredible windfall.

All these new additions are nice and all, but where is that minecraft mod api. That would be the best thing they've  released by far.

He's still working on the launcher, which is required for the API. Not that I know the specifics... I guess all these adjustments for the API are background, so they are also releasing tiny stuffty cosmetic additions so the kids don't whine to them about empty snapshots or something.

I'm not talking about snapshots. I'm talking about how they said the API is right around the corner a few months ago. It's no where near being done I imagine, it'll be a few more months until the API is release. Also the face that he went for adobe bricks instead of doing both adobe and colored wood is loving stupid.

You know what actually? I assume colored wood probably would screw something up, since you're having all these... bytes... I don't know the specifics, but that's how it sounded. He'd be adding a new buggy thing instead of fixing the system it is on. I still want it, but maybe he could get the stuff together? I heard something about they're planning on making an Anvil 2.0 (map type) which would add more data support (Another requirement for Mod API), so maybe after that we'll get colored wood?

This game seems to be such a mess. They really need to rework it from the ground up. It shouldn't be difficult to do dyed wood considering they did dyed wool already. Modders are improving the game a lot more than Mojang is, they're also doing it a lot quicker.

Another problem, as he admitted, if he added dyed wood, he'd have to make all variations. Fences, stairs, slabs, etc. Also, Jeb says Horses and Pigs will use the same saddle now, and neither will drop the saddle when killed "Because one saddle would become a lifetime supply." :|

"Can only be found in dungeons": Mojang's Ultimate Solution to Everything™

Wait, what does he mean by 'equipment'

Wait, what does he mean by 'equipment'
horse armor, saddles and leashes?

repetitive =/= harder

Leads probably won't be dungeon exclusive. Horses will use pig saddles, so they will be dungeons only. And horse armor is too easy to craft now, and would be weird to craft piece by piece into it or something, so that will probably be there.
