EDIT: I think we're going to stay out of Drama. It's impossible to control the hatred there, considering that's what that section is for.

Having an avatar with "LOL BE NICE" in it isn't gonna change anybody. Most likely, they won't even spend time to really look at your avatar while typing, anyway, if they don't use Quick Reply or something. So, all you're really doing is having an avatar saying to "be nice", even though, in reality, it's not going to affect anybody here, and sooner or later, people will realize that and remove their "be nice" avatars.

TCBB isn't trying to remove ALL meanness from the forum, just the unnecessary and extreme stuff.

dear god this idea is horribly misfounded. If anything, someone reading your avatar is going to laugh and possibly flame it. I see where your going, but no one will ever take your advice. And if everyone does it then people will ignore it compleatly.

this is the truth

1. That didn't make sense.

2. Well, we don't all have the same ones. There are variations.

1. Have you ever had fifteen people telling you to do something? do you do it?
What about signs? the no running signs at pool? if there was one, you'd probably reading it and do it. But as they're like five hundred every five feet you will ignore them completely.

We pay attention to oddities. If something is the same, then we ignore it completely.

You know, it's funny, because whenever I see a no running sign at the pool I just ignore it and immediately start running.

I think it's just plain human nature to do the opposite of whatever someone with real or fake authority is trying to get us to do.  I mean, can you imagine how less thieves there would be if no one ever said "don't steal"?  The very idea of stealing comes into their head from the law.
