Author Topic: Obama YEAR ROUND SCHOOL YEAR DX  (Read 13826 times)

Peopole must have said this, but: Basically its a known ruler that half the year's days are school days. the rest aren't.

It would not be every fraking day, just more longer breaks. I would like this policy. Onluy problem is no time for taking classes outside of school (I'm taking a month long robotics course this summer and next year a month long course in programming).

You have no knowledge of year round schooling, it's actually much better than the current schooling.

2.5-3 days short of half a year.

Well thing is that they probaly wouldn't make it everyday of the year, I'd like a 1 week breaks every 3 months, have a 2 week break every big holiday like Memorial Day, Christmas, and Thanksgiving. And every small holiday and get a 3 day break.

Year-Round School is the scheduling of educational institutions so that students take class throughout the entire calendar year. A motivation is that higher student throughput is accomplished via more effective scheduling of school resources. Year round schedules deliver the same number of total days of classroom education and vacation as traditional calendars, distributed differently throughout the year. Funding considerations favor multi-tracking students, which allows more students to use the same number of classrooms, instead of constructing entirely new schools.

Austrailia has year round school I think, but every four months they get three weeks off or something.

It's a good thing I'm in college.

This is a guess and somethings I think/heard about but I believe by federal law that schools have to have 180 days of school each year, they could have more if they wanted but Teachers and Students alike would rather it being shorter. Teachers say no to longer school years because teachers get the same schedule as students, I.E. Summer break teachers don't have to work. But on an account of this, this also means they won't make as much money, which is why the schedules are good so they can get a life get married and have 2 people paying bills. Did you know horses are like teachers? They teach their young to thrive and learn. Which also means that all mammals are like teachers. Like polar bears. Although if polar bears die than that means there won't be teachers. But wouldn't that mean all female mammals who have kids are teachers? Also why do polar bears have to be separated from their moms at like 6 months when humans get to stay 18? This is kinda a nut-buster because we take for granted what we're given.

Wait what were we talking about again?

Yet another reason why i hate Obama, the god dang socialist.

And it's another reason for you to hate him as well.

All of you should read this before you go off spewing hate about it.

Even if you go to school year round you're still only in school for 180 or so days. Unlike China where they go to school for 577 days a year.

I fail to see the issue here. You get the same amount of time off. Don't tell me you need that 3 month vacation, both you and I know you spend that whole break popping the entrepreneur les on your face while watching Sienfeld reruns at 4 in the am, forgetting to shower for 2 weeks and waking up at 4 in the afternoon and eat cold cans of raviolli and leftover pizza because you're too lazy to heat it up. Oh yeah, and you spend a few hours posting on these forums and updating your facebook status with random song lyrics and pointless messages like "i ate an egg for breakfast." How many people actually spent that 3 months in a foreign country learning about their culture and language? How many people decided to bike across the state or take a road trip? The school system will still let you take off for that too. Even if it's something as completley uneducational as going to Disney World with your family.

tldr: maybe if you guys did something besides sit on your ass all day you could justify having a 3 month vacation.
If you'd like to prove me wrong and go ride your bike tomorrow instead of wasting your time writing a reply to me about how valuable your time is (it isn't, I've been to school to you know I take it back, you're time is EXTREMELY valuable, all the more the reason not to waste it, ahahaha), feel free.
