My ideas:
Fragger
This rocket is loaded with extra explosives. As a result, it has a slight arc and moves slightly slower, but you can right-click when the rocket is in midair to release an explosive a-keen to a frag grenade, spitting damaging debris everywhere. Only the last fired rocket will react to the right-click function(not all of them at once)
- 10-20% speed subtracted from rockets
- rockets are subject to slight gravity and arcing
+ can detonate last fired rocket with right-click
+ 10-30% extra knockback from explosion
/ normal explosion lacks the debris of a detonated rocket, but keeps the knockback
Commander Rifle
-A low-range hunting rifle, cannot scope, is inaccurate at > medium range, etc. DOES NOT MAKE SOLDIER A SNIPER.
+Offers supporting fire at a slightly longer distance than shotgun, but not long enough to make it a sniper.
+ 25-50% extra damage to enemies standing below the soldier in terms of height (helpful for hill defending and air assaults.
- Fires 10-25% slower than the shotgun
- Does less damage at close range but more damage at medium and long range.
I.e if hypothetically the shotgun values were as so
Close: 100 Medium: 60 Long: 40
Then rifle would be like
Close: 70 Medium: 70 Long: 50
See what I'm getting at? This is all hypothetical, I'm just trying to explain my point
Charging Saber
-A melee weapon which gives the soldier a tad more mobility.
- no damage done from attacks
-When using the weapon, the soldier cannot switch weapons until the speed boost wears off(or is halfway over if necessary for balance, but something like that).
+ when attacking with the saber, the soldier and nearby allies(and enemy spies that are disguised) get a slight speed boost, something like 10-20%
+ Soldier yells charge when this happens
+ Encourages team play
