@Jetz - That's a known issue, and RTB only works with resolutions of 800x600 and up.

I was about to ask if that was the case.  I assume custom bricks will be included too?

Yes, but quality control for custom bricks will be pretty rigorous.

It used to work with my small resolution. Did it become too much trouble to support smaller sizes? I realize the mod manager is a pretty complex GUI... I guess I'll need to increase my resolution.

Yeah, the mod manager from v2 worked in 640x480 but it was too cramped and I needed more space. There's no reason to use any resolution smaller than 800x600.

I use the smaller resolution on older computers who can't handle higher resolutions, it helps allot to save every last bit of computing power.

Just to be clear, I won't be making any efforts to make the GUIs work in resolutions less than 800x600.

I was thinking, what if there were some way for users to unlock special avatars for the RTB forums if they have like say uploaded x number of add-ons or their addon was selected as an admin favorite or soemthing.

The new RTB site isn't exactly going to have avatars. I'm hopefully going to sort out some sort of system so your profile picture will be your character's appearance.

I think I suggested awhile back that RtB connect could have little icons next to the names of people in your friends list depicting the heads of their blockheads. Maybe they could be based off the forum's avatar system.

The friends list uses a standard set of icons to indicate whether the person is online/offline/away/busy/blocked/whatever so using an avatar head would make that a lot harder.

Can you add a function to upload your own avatar to the friends list and be able to toggle it?For the irc chat and friend system.

The icons are 16x16 for the friends list (like most IM programs) and I don't think you'd be able to anything interesting with 256 pixels. Not to mention you'd then have to download the avatar for each friend which just ups the loading time.

You could make it download avatars of a fairly standard size (say, 128x128) only in the chat with that person, and you could do it from external servers by just tracking the image url so they don't even have to upload to RTB. Just have it check the size of the image when they try to set it, so they can't set larger/smaller images, and it could download the image when you open the chat with them (until it's downloaded, just show a 'blank/no avatar' image, or a loading image).

Of course that's useless and superfluous, but it would be nice to have.

Letting people insert their ugly pictures into my lovely GUIs makes them not so lovely anymore. It's also why we don't allow custom avatars on the RTB forums.

Anyway this talk of avatars in the IM system is fruitless so if anyone has any questions regarding other proposed features, let's have them.

Saves Transfer and Screenshot Transfer would be nice.
