Here's a prototype of our new website design. A bunch of things are going to change (mainly images), but this is the general jist of it.

I like the creamy background.

You paid someone to make that? It's really generic.

I don't have the time to fiddle with free templates, I had a list of things it needed to do and I paid someone to get it done.

Besides, I'd rather have a professional design than some mickey mouse design.

I would at least take advantage of a professional designer and have him make something more unique.

Different isn't always better, I swear to god I hate websites that move things into obscure places. I personally like the new templates.

I don't think it's really necessary to have some flashy unique design. It looks great as far as I'm concerned and the layout is appropriate for all the things I'm planning to do with RTB (which the old layout was not) and so here we are.

Just a question, but how much did you pay for that?

Lets just say it didn't break the bank. Anyway, feedback?

I say it looks fine.
I won't have to look all over the page for what I want to find

Looks awesome.

Yeah, why did he need to pay someone to do that?

Why do blogs always have to be so narrow? It makes them more annoying to read.

It does look really good, but it does seem a little like a recolor of X*10^23 other websites.

But at least it's not one that's hard to navigate. In this case, it's probably more appropriate to be like the crowd, since it is a site that sees a fair amount of use, than to have a "unique" design that makes people wonder what the hell is going on.

A unique website doesn't have to be extremely flashy. For example, the old RTB website. It looked pretty neat and even fit the theme, and it was pretty easy to navigate if I remember right.

The sit does look good, and I just can't believe you really paid someone to make it.
