Ephi can you enable add-on reporting?
Theres alot of add-ons thatare stolen.

The volume of reports we were getting about files was absurd and most of them didn't contain any details so we stopped reading them. If you see content on RTB that is stolen and no credit is given, email me with proof and I will remove it.

So how's progress comming along?

I'll make a big status update post tomorrow when I get into work.

I've always missed the mark all as read button we have on here as on the RTB forums. :( The BBC tools list also seems a bit cluttered.

Ok .. progress.

I've been working pretty hard on the new website - I decided I didn't like the design we had built for us so I threw it out and I'm doing it the old fashioned way (although it will end up looking similar in terms of layout style/color). I've also been cranking out classes to get the backend framework for the site working, once those are in place it should be a matter of dropping the content on top of it. My main target for the website is to get account registration/migration/management working. It may be that I run this new site alongside the old forums for a while until I can get all functionality moved over. I want to ditch phpBB as soon as possible.

Character encoding functions are in v15 and I've verified that the problems in the IM system are now fixed so work is progressing on that too. I've mainly completed roster and presence management and I'll be looking next at getting chatting working along with all the things that come with that (x is typing a message etc.)

After all this is done, that should be v4 wrapped up. v5 will focus on some refactoring of the Mod Manager mainly aimed at addressing usability issues which have been confusing a lot of people.

Sounds good. So when should we expect everything to be finished? Or is there enough work to not know an estimate?

I have another suggestion: Sound preview for sounds?

I've wanted to add sound previews and did look into this extensively, but all sounds are encoded in .ogg format and as far as I know, flash doesn't support that.

I considered converting them to wav to store for previews but this just results in double the storage space used, and a lot more processor time being taken up.

I've heard flash is going to integrate ogg eventually but until flash players are available for the ogg format I won't be looking to get previews working for it. It's a relatively simple task to get in-game ones working but I don't want to spend the time doing that unless we can have similar functionality in the online listings.

alchemy + ogg vorbis lib ?

Oh actually since researching this a year ago people have made some headway and apparently there are pure AS3 ogg vorbis libs.

In that case I'm waiting for someone to make a nice looking audio preview tool that also has that library in it. I don't want to muck about with that myself, I hate AS3.

I have a flash music player. If you'd like, I could try throwing in the library.

I still like the idea of add-on favorites. You add add-ons to your favorite add-ons list at the press of a button. Could also be a way to sort, by how many people marked them on their favorites list. This would also make it easier to find some add-ons that are hard to find.

Whenever I start a second server without restarting blockland.exe, it spits out an error when trying to register prefs since they are still leftover from the last run.
