Exactly 18,604,639 calls have been made to the RTB API by in-game users browsing the downloads system.
These statistics started on Wed Dec 03, 2008.

One whole year! Any other statistics that would be interesting to share for this milestone?

I'll just dump out every stat I can find:

16 private messages sent to the RTB Mod Bot
17 barred users (9 with system-wide bans)
54 bug tickets submitted for add-ons*
180 add-on issues raised
313 failed add-ons
856 files submitted (with an average file rating of 3.9/5)
1,471 bans in the irc by BlockBot
1,536 forum account registrations
1,732 RTB mod bot actions
3,124 unique blockland users have hosted servers running RTB
3,512 file ratings added
3,783 add-on datablock names, classes and uinames catalogued
6,186 file comments submitted
6,438 hours of blockland master server activity logged
6,535 unique blockland users that have used/are using RTB
11,455 kicks in the irc by BlockBot
15,341 downloads of the RTB add-on
67,324 entries logged in the RTB id & name history roster
181,806 page-views for the online RTB downloads system
866,102 add-on downloads via RTB (515,761 of which were from in-game)
18,606,025 api calls (requests made to the RTB server from in-game)

* the low number of bug tickets is more a reflection of people's unwillingness to fill out a bug report than people who make bug-free add-ons.

I think "barred" as in a ban jail or something.

Just to mix things up a little, banned is a harsh sounding word while barred just rrrrolls off the tounge.

I expected she'd have more fan mail than just 16.

Barred seems much more appropriate for a larger scale denial of service. You can get banned from a server and join another one. You can't join another RtB.

So what's the most common reason for being barred?

Mainly "Service Abuse" - this ranges from comment spam, 1 star rating spam, excessive master server usage (in the case of 2 people) and persistent submission of failed/disallowed add-ons.

excessive master server usage (in the case of 2 people)

That reminds me: What was the API call for converting a .zip name to the file ID?

Are we allowed to use the API? ( I assume we can seeing as you just responded to Truce)

I just want to do a few things like get download counts for my website.

You can, to some extent. Overuse will result in being barred like Kalphiter and Mr. Doom.
