No. Of course it'd be cool to instantly have a load more users but really it's just an add-on and if people aren't into the community aspect of Blockland then they shouldn't have an add-on like RTB thrust upon them.

RTB is an optional add-on that gives more advantages, but also is not wanted by some of the users.
Some of the users just want to plug and play, they do not want to talk to other members.

There is also barred users, meaning that having it as default does not make it fun to remove it each update to remove those barring messages.

Anyways, with the minor/major updates, they should still have to download it, it would just let them know if it is gonna be an awesome update, or an update they shouldn't be too excited about.

We're almost there with the beta. Things are at a point where I'd be happy to let people try it out but there are still a couple of small things which would make me happier.

As for chat rooms - there has been a bit of discussion on this. At the moment I intend to have the following public chatrooms:

• General - People might get auto-joined to this by default and is for discussing blockland/rtb
• Servers - If you're looking for a server or want people to join yours, advertise here.
• Helpdesk - Help with rtb/blockland.
• Off-Topic - Anything else.

There may also be a private room for beta users while beta testing is going on. I have not yet decided how private rooms will be managed. It makes sense for anyone to be able to make them, but then again it'd also work quite well as a more exclusive feature so people are encouraged to make use of the private rooms available to them instead of creating their own. We'll see how things play out.

I suggest having a number of rooms maximum that a single person can have. That way it doesn't get spammed, and the server doesn't have a bunch of empty rooms. Each person doesn't need more than 3.

Also a question to ephi: If you use that sytem you told about The Main Chatrooms, the betta testers would love to communicate with they're friends, How will they contact with someone in the normal irc except the testers?

How you manage your RTB installations is something you'll need to figure out for yourself. Either go balls-out and replace 3.5 with 4 or stick it on another install of Blockland. It's up to you.
