Is there anything new in the area of server control, or is that largely staying the way it was in 3.0?

I haven't had time to look at it much yet since this chat system is eating up a lot of my time, but I do have plans to improve it. There will be a few bug fixes for it in 4.0 though.

So far the beta is going okay, the pesky crash bug is pissing a few people off but I have a moderately hacky hack I'm going to implement to mitigate that since it's more an issue with Torque memory corruption than RTB's coding.

Oh... that makes sense I suppose.

I did notice that whenever I run a dedicated server and I try to edit things like the welcome message, it only applies them temporarily but the settings don't save once I restart the dedi server. I have to either edit in single player or do it manually. Dunno if that was reported yet...

I've never heard of that, I'll take a look into it.

What are you entering into it?

My welcome messages usually include a basic color format of the text... something like:

<color:FFFFFF>Welcome to IcyGamma's server.

You have to close the server normally, not forcefully.
As in, use quit(); instead of just hitting the X.

RTB exports preferences after anything gets changed just incase, so that shouldn't be an issue.

Ah okay.

I've fixed a bunch of crap in Beta 1 and the last thing left to do is add the options dialog back in with the ability to change the pesky keybind then I'll push Beta 2 out. Hopefully that'll be tomorrow some time.

Almost done with the options dialog, I removed a few useless old settings from v3 like being able to disable RTB's auto-updater.

I hope to have another update by Friday night (GMT).

I like the fact RTB has its own unique look but its still sympathetic to the default GUI.

Is RTB's presence on the main menu completely replaced by the overlay or...?

I've removed everything from the main menu except the RTB version and logo in the top right corner. It felt like RTB was way too dominating on the Blockland menu and I much prefer how simple and spacious the default menu looks without RTB installed at all.

I may even ditch the logo/version from the main menu when I get around to styling the overlay correctly. It seems unnecessary to have it there, provided there is some form of acknowledgement that RTB is actually installed.

I see.
It'll be weird with all the space back. :I

I prefer having everything in the main menu; it's much easier to access.

You'll get over it. It's one key press to be able to get to the RTB menu and that also means everything is accessible within a server too which wasn't always the case.
