Wedge is alive.

Also, lol.

Does the RTB update mean all the Add-ons currently on RTB will be removed?
Some of the earlier updates did this.

This had to happen once. It won't happen again.

What fix required you to clear all the RTB2 add ons?

We switched from an unmoderated submission system to a moderated and more quality-controlled system so all add-ons were removed instead of going through each one to decide whether it stayed or got removed. There are some other more technical reasons but that's the main one.

Is this link issue gonna be fixed?

When viewed outside of Blockland, the link works fine

Progress Update

I worked a lot on cleaning up a bunch of small issues and doing my own testing around the place which turned up loads of crap which I also fixed. I also did some file structure re-organization. I also finally got around to doing some nice looking menu buttons for the RTB overlay, so visually I'm now happy with RTB4.

I still need to talk to Badspot about socket objects on the Mac or figure out some clever work-around to prevent these crashes. It's blocking RTB4 at the moment because anyone who has the VCE add-on will crash when they open the overlay and I assume there are similar add-ons that will cause this. Obviously I can't release before there's some sort of resolution to that.

I'm going to do some further stress testing on the server to make sure the hardware I have is sufficient for ~1,000 concurrent users. I don't think I'll need to worry about capacity issues for a while but there's probably a few things I can do if the server starts to get a little sluggish.

So far in my stress-testing adventure I've identified one major pain point which is the list of users in a chat room that gets sent to anyone who joins. Since my target is to have the chat server working happily with 1,000 simultaneous users things got a little sluggish when it came to joining a room with 1,000 people in it. As a result, I'm going to do some fiddling to see if there's a better way I can transfer the data without causing Blockland to lock up.

I assume that involves reducing the initial data sent along with the users? Probably can't be cut down to just names, but less information about each person sent immediately.

Hm.. isn't this peculiar. For some reason, I have forgotten my RTB username and the email i signed up under.
Ephi, is it at all possible that you could tell me what my username is? I'm assuming it's something like 'Placid' but I honestly don't know. If it's registered under a BLID, it would be 5173.
