Just think of it, there's the possibility of anything. We could have aliens as pets. Or aliens could have us as pets. We have no idea if we're more advanced than them, we have no idea of any size comparison with them, we actually have no idea they exist.

There's a possability of anything out there, and we might just be wrong about everything we know.
