Hospitalized? =o

Sorry, i haven't read this topic for days. No updates yet, sorry.

So anyone else get this blizzard? :\

Hello everyone, i've been trying my best to get a dedicated server running, with no luck as of yet. I'll probably have to call my internet service provider and have them change mac adress settings so I can use a different router. Until then I think I can host with blockland open, although it is much less stable than dedicated. The reason I don't have another host is because I want to be able to have full control over the server, and wizzard hasn't gotten back to me yet. Anyways, Niliscro's job changes are now in effect, so many people will have lost their jobs or have different ones depending on how far alone they were. And yes my absence was because of real life problems, which are now mostly taken care of.

edit: restarting the router a thousand times seems to have improved its ability to host dedicated. for now at least. This means that the server will be running full swing as of now.

Awesome, I've had a craving to play for a while now.

So anyone else get this blizzard? :\

Yeah, i did. How much snow you got?

Yeah, i did. How much snow you got?
Not sure, it's blown all over the place.  It's a couple of feet deep in some snow banks, and no less than 6 inches in most places.

I'll be playing minecraft for the next hour or so, then I'll drop in :u

It'll suck if what ever blizzard you guys are talking about is in canandiana to cause I'm flying back there tomorrow :o

Ok, Diggers, my to do/bugs list:
a '+' means that it was fixed but not tested/is being tested/is being worked on.
a '-' means that I haven't tested it but might be working on it.

These are prioritized by order.

To do:
-Find rapid fire fix for batons
+Bounty line...Assassins need their knives!!
-Post full description of new job system

==Completed==
+Fix other tier packages from not loading (check their server.cs)
+Disable pistols

Bugs
=========
=Weapons=
=========
-ALL T+T WEAPONS WILL NOT DO HEADSHOTS AS PER AMMO, ONLY THEIR SCRIPT
-Combat knife's one-hit kill is restricted in some way by the mod
-Sport rifle, silenced SMG, and SMG makes gun sound for last shot
-SMG makes reload sounds twice sometimes

=========
===Jobs==
=========

=========
=General==
=========
-Admins can't pardon anymore, nor can they use jailescape events (it says that the event is admin only) -- probably just some conditionals that got screwy (not sure if I can fix this with the files I have)

=========
==Fixed===
=========
-Pistol uses 2 rounds per shot  (disabled pistols)
-Akimbo Pistols are forgeted up (          "           )

These are just the things I can work on with the files/knowledge of TS that I have.

Double toast.
To clear up some confusion about the new jobs, I give you this:

The new jobs system provides each job category with paths that players can specialize in.  Usually, the first job either follows the old path or is a mixture of both paths.  Paths are named based on their final job (such as Master Thief path or Assassin path).  Categories are named based on either their base job or their theme, interchangeably.

This update also makes player names all white, except for the Sheriff path and the political job category.  Jobs in the Criminal category have slightly discolored names that appear white but with closer scrutiny are actually an off-white.

The purpose of the paths is to stratify job categories into specialty jobs.  The Sheriff path has blue, hi-vis names that tell every criminal within a square mile "hey, I'm out to arrest you".  However, the Secret Agent path can get the jump on players with lo-vis names that match the standard white.  Another example would be the Vigilante and Assassin paths, where the former are more specialized for arrests and the latter are meant for sneaking up and assassinating people.

>General Note<
============
-The first job in every line is intended to give players an idea of what each path offers.  They usually have a mix of abilities from each path, but aren't as specialized.

-In many cases, the first job won't even experience an ability that a path might.  For example, Bounty Hunters can't assassinate like the Assassin path, and they can't spawn with full batons like Vigilantes can.

>Bounty Hunter Line<
================
-The Assassin path is basically for those who want to claim bounties

-The Vigilante path is for those who want to make arrests without a clean record

>Lawyer Line<
===========
-The Senator path is for those who want more abilities

-The Ambassador path is for those who want to be filthy rich

>Doctor Line<
==========
-The Doctor path is for those who want to give/sell pills

-The Surgeon path is for those who want to heal others quickly

>Labor Line<
==========
-Derp

>Criminal Line<
===========
-The Master Thief path is for those who love to steal

-The Godfather path is for mobsters and those who like power and organaized crime

*Godfather path can still pickpocket, but it's nothing compared to Master Thief path

>Police Line<
==========
-Sheriff path is for hardcore cops

-Secret Agent path is for sneaky cops

>Shop Line<
===============
*Does not implement tier system at the moment, plans for future implementation

>Fire Line<
========
*Does not implement tier system

Yay it's up... Damnit my cpu crashes every tick and I don't get money xD

Very nice, Niliscro! The system you've conducted goes along the lines of weaponry, criminal activity, and law enforcement. This wipes out a major problem found in most cityrps, which is unplanned crime sprees. This system will basically force players to conduct organized crime rather than the simple killing-of-a-rich-man-in-the-middle-of-an-urban-district-surrounded-by-police forces heist. Great job.

Switch back and forth from laborer to civilian every time a cop gets ready to jail you.

I'd really love for an organised crime to actually exist on the server, I'd want it to operate a lot like the way you play the godfather video game series. Where you shake down shop keepers and bribe off cops. THen there would also be the master thieves who would be lone wolf type guys.
