Since I like them both, I've decided not to vote at all :U

Gordon Freeman: "FANBOYS HELP ME!"

I would rather have Duke Nukem or Doomguy save the world rather than some guy in a orange metal can.

This. They're both equally heroic and awesome. But I really want to vote, so I don't know. I have to admit though, I've never played the Half Life series past a half hour, but it's very fun from what I have played.

I am. >:(

forget you computer cigarettes.
Shut up, no one cares that you touch yourself at night to the nostalgic feeling of Nintendo products. Valve is better nowadays, accept it.

how many proxies did you use?

"Friend codes" represent absolutely everything that is wrong with Nintendo's attempt at developing an online community that is literally a decade behind every other console and two decades behind computers. Yeah, I remember having to type in friend codes on the PC, in 1995 I had to type my neighbor's phone number in to play Command and Conquer online with them!

There was a time when connecting to the Internet involved a computer generating a set of tones and broadcasting them through actual telephone headsets using a set of speakers that slotted into the headset. It seems Nintendo wants to recreate the nostalgic feeling of this era.

I blame Nintendo's failure on the absolutely deplorable state of their online platform and congratulate Valve for their ability to mobilize their entire community to vote for them. Some mods have enough trouble getting their members to vote for them on moddb's mod of the year contest, Valve's ability to motivate their customers is simply put, amazing, and every company looking to develop a great online community should take a long hard look at Valve. For Valve, it seems developing the community is nearly important, if not as important, as making the games.

How long is this going for?
can't see how long it will be until the end of the votes.

Valve needs to leave there FPS zone and try to make sort of RTS or something.

It's not that bad. You can still play online, or share online friend codes on a community.

You're right, I can look up phone numbers in a phone book too.

Just because it's possible to do it that way doesn't mean it's a good way to do it. It's awful and whoever thought of it should be fired.
