Having the mouse move the gun cursor a bit before rotating the player was used in a couple of PC games I think, I'm not really sure which. I just remember someone making an addon for gmod that did it. It's actually supposed to be a more realistic way to aim, real people don't rotate their whole body a few degrees to the left to shoot left, they just aim left.

That being said, I like the way it's been done for years. Move the mouse and you turn. I'm used to it. I can't really stand joysticks for controlling an FPS either. I tried it at a friends house (I got him through the ravenholm chapter in hl2), the whole game just felt slower. Everything from walking to turning to shooting just seemed to take longer.

Also thread title says warefare.

Noted...
BTW: This is not a thread to dis the way the wii does things. If you speed it up it is quite efficient way to aim. The pc is slow and cluncky and you often turn out of cover when not meaning too. This is a thread to discuss the game. You can't say forget till you've tried it. Now only say anything if you have cod5 for wii or 3 and want this one.
I have both and love them. The wii lacks in gfx. It makes up in brilliant gameplay though. It's like it was made for shooters.

So who actually wants this game?

Take a look at new gameplay. they guy fixed your "problem"

You aren't getting it.  In PC fps's, moving the mouse turns the player, not just moves the crosshairs to a point, then turns the player.
Redsteel had that.

Redsteel had that.
And it's not fun, Metroid was kinda annoying to play, too.

I'm pretty much not planning on buying it.

i declare console/pc war

Pretty much your fault. Get better hardware. Or dust your mouse.

cod4 on 1080p gives me a headache because of all the stupid low res lines flickering everywhere.
the wii's 780 or whatever that res is cant be any better x.x

fanboy: some games should just not be on consoles at all. consoles are keeping developers from miking games as great as they could be.
you could literally blame the xbox/wii/ps for slowing down video game technology.

420p is as high as it goes, I think.

This is gonna be bullstuff, fps aiming is meant for mouses/brown townog sticks
Not loving remotes

i don't understand why the crosshair isn't centered at all times. it should NEVER move for any reason. its like drifting around looking for a target on its own.
I know, right? my friend made me play this james bond fps on the wii, i hate that control scheme
