Pretty sure 90% of Blockland/STO users use Steam, its not an IM but it does have groups you use with special events with in-game messaging/events post via group events.

Quite annoying indeed but Steam is one of those Programs everyone uses more so then IM's. Also I'm sick of people telling me to get AIM, American Instant Messaging.. I'm Australian no thanks.
