Author Topic: Help deciding: PS3 or 360?  (Read 3445 times)

My Xbox runs pretty cool. Whenever I put hand near it, the air coming from there is cool.
Power adapter is pretty cool too.
I'm pretty sure that Xboxes run good now and breaking rate is pretty low.

Get the elite Xbox. It doesnt get the RRoD
Well not for me, anyway

And for me. But it isn't used much, yet.
It's 2009 model, so it shouldn't break.

I've never played a PS3, and I own a 360
But personally, I wish I had gone with the PS3. Their exclusives look much better, they've got free online play, and many more cool features the X-Box doesn't have.

Listing some of those nice features would help me decide, you know :p
-Mic Chatting while in other games
-Charging your iPod and listening to music from it at the same time
-Keyboard adapter for the controller
-Facebook ( Added more recently. I believe there is one for PS3 as well. )
-Free gold weekends
-A selection of games that I enjoy.
-A avatar system that doesn't go too over the top
-A currency to buy games with that can allow you to also buy songs via Zune

I like these features and I enjoy my Xbox Console
As an added feature,
-snot has xbox live

Ps3
Gee 3 characters sure will get somebody to buy a console.
How convincing.

Keep the Xbox 360 Power Brick on a surface that isn't carpet.
Thats what I do and I haven't had any problems with my 360. I got mine before there were categories.
:D
Makes no sense.  Keeping the POWER CORD on a hard surface saves the CPU or GPU from DETACHING?!

PS3 is about to get the mic chatting thing, it has a keyboard accessory, and can use a normal USB keyboard.  I don't know about the iPod thing.  Facebook is on PS3 too.  PSN is free forever. (But will have some extra features in a subscription thing sometime.) PS3 has quite a few good games too.  PS3 doesn't have that, but it doesn't really matter.  PS3 uses currency that lets you buy ANYTHING!  No stupid point systems that make no sense. (Isn't it $10 for 800 points or something?

The point system does make sense, it's all a matter of multiplying by 80.

I prefer using a personal computer for gaming, but that's my opinion. If I had to choose, I'd say PS3. I actually hate the XBox's controller design, it was incredibly awkward for me to use it once I got used to my PS2. You could always buy an old PS3 to play PS2 games. I have ~40 PS2 games, and my PS2 disappeared one day(?) and I later bought a Wii, and now I never use it. The PS3 has loads of great games such as Little Big Planet and Katamari Forever. I don't own a PS3 or an Xbox 360 because

So, it makes no sense in the sense that you have to multiply by 80.

But why does it even matter in general? It's pretty much a small issue, not traumatic.

PS3 is gorgeous. The 360 doesn't even come close to paralleling it's graphics, and if you have a good TV and don't mind meh online play and a narrower selection of games, I would go with the the PS3. But if you really like multiplayer or FPS games, I would go with the 360.
