Author Topic: I want YOUR Zombie ideas  (Read 2900 times)

A zombie that becomes more enraged and powerful as it's hurt.

At the beginning, it can only deal low damage and is slow. By the time it has 10 health or so left, it's extremely fast and strong.



Wouldn't solve any particular problem except giving the game more strategy.

2. Players fighting in groups
3. Players hiding to avoid being detected by zombies
2: Small, fast zombies that run into groups of players and then detonate.

3: Perhaps a "bloodhound" zombie.  Not literally, of course.  Zombie has no eyes and is blind, but has an impeccable sense of smell/hearing.  They can be driven off with loud sounds.

A zombie that looks like any other zombie but sends a flare up when it dies that draws other zombies to that location.

zombie sucker: shoots small leeches at players and until you get them off they do 5 damage every 1 or 2 seconds

Zombie shield: Jumps on the head of a zombie, and makes it un-killable until the zombie shield is killed.

Screamer:


Wasn't the screamer originally gonna be a boss for the 1st L4D or something?

I think one I would want would be the foghorn, since it seems that some people don't work together the foghorn let's off a screech as the specail ability that gets the ai close by to follow the foghorn. J know the name sounds stupid but that could be changed.

For groups I think the beserker would work, they can use the special to to enter a 'rage' that the charactor looses control and spins and attacks, while in it's rage it's health doubles however it only lasts about 10 secounds.

Cloner- Looks like a teamate but when you get to close it chops your head off... or any other way of killing you :D

Fire Zombie- Slow but more powerful than a normal zombie, when it gets to close you catch on fire for a short period of time.

another idea VS groups:
"Spitfire"
essentially similar to a smoker; fights at range and shoots a large, slow moving fireball that's slightly affected by gravity, and ignites players when it connects, doing 60 damage over 30 seconds but does no direct damage. getting into water or otherwise removes the fire effect- touching players spreads it around: simply standing still will both shorten the burn time to 10 seconds and fire damage to 20 over time


I think a zombie that continuously spawns grunts around it until death would be cool. The grunts all die if he dies.

I'd prefer not to blatantly rip off ideas from another game, i.e. I don't want you to say "Copy the spitter from left 4 dead" to solve problem number 2 or 4. I want new, creative, fun, and interesting ideas that would add to the gameplay experience.
