Author Topic: Weapons: Down-Sight Aiming  (Read 4053 times)

In many 1st person wargames like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (CoD MW2). You can aim down the sight of your gun. "It looks like you don't know to look down your sights, you shoot all around the d*** thing and it makes you look like an a**." -Srt. Foley CoD MW2. To shoot accuretly, kill fast, and not get yelled and lectured by your commanding officer. It would be nice to do this in blockland, i'm asking for basic weapons used in warfare.

War Weapon Basics:

1. Assault Rifle
2. Pistol
3. RPG (rocket propelled grenade)
4. Shotgun
5. Sniper Rifle

I don't think it's worth it, because there are a s**t-load (censored because I'm nice and can tell you don't like curses) of weapons out there.

in mw2 they got aiming because in hip-fire the crosshair is inacurate and spreads like crazy. but i wouldnt mind this.

The MP submachice gun has somewhat of a sight but is not used, it's at the back of the barrel

AIM DOWN YOUR SIGHTS

I don't see a point of this, seeing as it's just extra code.
And since when was Blockland REALISTIC?

it's called Ironsighting.

This would be interesting. Using the same type of things the Old School Rifle uses and by limiting zoom, you could create a similar effect.

What would be the point of ironsights in a game where everyone is bunnyhopping around with a rocket launcher?

The OSR down-sight aiming thing is done by code.
It can be done on every gun.

I'm pretty sure there is a mountpoint for the camera on the model. But then again, you seem to know more about it than I do. Anywho, this is a great idea.
