HOW ABOUT SPELL TIMING

I.E. Weakness to fire 100% for 5 seconds THEN fire damage 100 points for 5 seconds.

that would be great

i hope they make combat more loving satisfying

when i hit people in the face with a sword i don't expect them to just go "ARRRRGH" and take a step back

i want them to recoil from the force of the blow, get stunned breifly, and maybe get decapitated if they have low health
After their dead, I wanna be able to cut them more and more blood would come out, and if I repeatedly hit one area, that limb would eventually fall off :D. And I wanna be able to take a cut off limb in mah inventory as an award. Yay for severed heads on my fireplace!

I don't know about the second but the first is likely. Considering they implemented that very thing in Fallout 3.

I at least wanna be able to "grab" a severed head and lob it at guards without getting in trouble. Like skeleton skulls on Oblivion! :U

I hope it's actually playable on release.

I hope disposition levels to different things

50=they like and respect you

120=they fear you

100=they see you as a sibling they've always wanted and will ask to tag along in your adventures sometimes.

30=they think you are shady and always keep up their guard

0-10=they hate your guts.

-20=they will kill you in your sleep.

There are 2 huge things I have an issue with that are in Oblivion.

1) Map/compass

2) Fast travel.

If they take out those things in the next TES, I will be more than happy. I'd love it if I had to memorize the environments, or even if there were certain landmarks that I could tell where I was. Like, a certain grove, a part of the ground where there's a noticeable marking.

I'm not saying take out a map entirely, but leave out the "you are here" arrow. Just a blank map you have to purchase, and it tells you that one city is in the west. You may not know where the forget you are until you learn some basic things about everything.

Having to actually learn the environment of the game would be a lot more fun than just having it all given to you.

well even having to visit a place the first time to fast travel would have been better.
lol going outside and telewhoring directly where you need in a second is lame.

in TESIV everything is identical

i never did like fast travel though. running around did get rather tedious sometimes but it was a lot more than just spawning there. took away from the experience of the game.

that's why i said landmarks. noticeable spots in the game that you're bound to remember.

2) Fast travel.

I'd like it if they brought back the way they handled it in Morrowind; some Mages Guild Member's can Teleport the player and another form of traveling system that is in cities like the Silt Striders.

There's a reason mods exist, there are plenty of mods that take away fast travel and restrict map.

mods shouldnt have to be made to make something harder.

yea, i liked the silt strider idea. but it was too cheap.

i would rather have a game where it's hard to do things totally unrelated to fighting, while keeping the fighting pretty easy. like, hard as stuff to buy a house or even a new weapon, but easy to go out and kill stuff to get the money

unfortunately for oblivion, everything was way too easy to get, from the start. soul stones (i think?) could easily be sold for about 200 septims a piece if they had souls in them.

It's not like you have to use the map or fast travel in the first place, alot of people like using them and, I doubt a large majority would be happy about the lack of fast travel.

youre forgetting about the compass.

i don't have to use fast travel, or the map, but i've still got the compass lingering at the bottom of the screen directing me where to go.

and there are a majority of players, who i'm positive, would rather have the game more difficult than oblivion ever was. the only difficulty you could ever find in oblivion was getting every guard in the imperial city to chase you, and even then it wasn't all that hard
