They're going to resell the original sonic games to you under a new name, claiming it has a more intricate storyline that requires episodes to tell (i.e. multiple games). Anyone who buys into this is a tool.

Just like Half-life 2, right?
I'll keep with Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.

Half-Life 2 wasn't a sidescroller arcade game. There's no reason Sonic needs an episodic plot, not only is it not big enough for episodes (Half-Life 2 is somewhere over 2Gb, while Sonic games are usually under a few mb) but there's simply no reason.

Argh, Sonic died after it hit the Gamecube. I loving loved the version for the Dreamcast, which I'm pissed I can't find either one of them (Dreamcast or the game ;-;).

Argh, Sonic died after it hit the Gamecube. I loving loved the version for the Dreamcast, which I'm pissed I can't find either one of them (Dreamcast or the game ;-;).

Heck no.
On the gamecube, they had Sonic Adventure 2 Battle and  Sonic Adventure DX, re-releases of the two versions, with the graphics polished a little and some new functionality.
I remember using the Chao garden and the gamecube - Game boy advance cable to get the tiny chao garden on my GBA, so i could take care of my chao while i was away :D

Personally Sonic went noticably downhill after Sonic Heroes and  Shadow the Hedgehog  :(

I remember how I bought Sonic Heroes. Disappointed like never before I sat there, realizing that there was no Chao Garden included.
The story wasn't that bad actually but I didn't like the whole "three as one" thing.
What I still like in all the sonic the hedgehog games is the BGM. All the vocal songs are so epic.
