Garry's mod is a whole separate game which really isn't for his age group. It is quite difficult.

TF2 isn't very suitible either, unless your kid can hear 'damn' and 'freaking' and won't go around saying it everywhere.

Oh it was modded, that makes WAY more sense.  No zombies can drive in both of the L4D games, and the hotel is only in L4D2.

I'd suggest not getting Garry's Mod as of this age. You said he's what, 8? Yeah, there are quite a bit of guns and RPG's and dismemberment and blood and such. [/Runon]

I suggest putting carefull consideration into getting Gmod before you get it for him. Watch some gameplay to know if it is okay or not. The term is also L4B just so you know. ;)
