I'd like to do something with it, but hell it can't even run any of the stuff I've made in retail, ghosting is a colossal nightmare, I'm just gonna continue to give it more time until progress catches my eye.

I found this dumb video about Lego GTA and at the time I was like, 7 or 8 and I thought it was a real game so I looked up Lego GTA and blockland popped up, ended up getting it since I was already big on lego and doing like dumb stop motion videos with legos and 15 years later, here I am lol

I mean... what's left though? Vehicles? I guess... Wrench events? I suppose... The building system is already significantly more developed, optimized and functional than blockland's. There's minigames, guns, a bucketload of cosmetics... Honestly if Brickadia had mod support right now it would already have far surpassed Blockland, especially in it's earliest retail versions like v8.
It's not really up for us to say, sure that sounds pretty much like blockland back at v9 when I first joined the community, but it's not our game, and they can do whatever they want to it and add whatever more they wish too, brickadia may have some good stuff already specially building wise but they can definitely do more. Is it for me to say? Not at all, but unless you hear confirmation it's out of alpha, then I think there's a reason it's still in alpha. Just to make it clear I do not disagree with anything you've said so far, but all I can say is have patience. What more can I really say.

I think mod support is BADLY needed and extremely fundamental actually. I can't really think of any other "ingredients" Brickadia needs more. If you ask me; the mod support argument bears little fruit purely because it's extremely difficult and maybe a little too much to ask from unfunded hobbyists right now. game dev is supposed to be fun after all
I agree that mod support is definitely needed, but that wasn't my point, point was you're asking for something to be applied to what isn't even a game but rather a project people are working on, it's not a beta it's not a version 1 of the game, it's literally in alpha, so before people start asking for stuff why don't they finish the base of the game first? That's all I meant I didn't mean mod support shouldn't be considered or be looked at is unimportant, it 100% is.

still isn't actual mod support :J
I mean maybe they should actually have a game to apply mod support to in the first place? Like this isn't even funny anymore that's all I've heard related to Brickadia for like idk how many years now, I really do not care this deeply about mod support for something not even out of alpha yet. Not defending Brickadia's slow loving progress but this remark is extremely tiresome and outdated. The only thing justifiable to complain about is the lack of actual game developmental progress, yes mod support is high up in the list of to-do's but why work on an idea without anything to apply it to. Compare it to a dish you'd wanna make, you need your list of ingredients to make it happen, and clearly I can't finish making this sandwich when I don't got my loving turkey. Brickadia hasn't even really begun building the main ingredients it both promised and needs to get anywhere near the finish line. It also practically isn't a game it's more of an experiment that really is just getting in the way of the developers lives cause I don't see how the forget its taken them this long to make any serious progress. That being said, can we drop the expectations involving an unfinished product with a really slow development crew? Or are we just gonna continue this relapse where we just continue bitching and stuffting on stuff just because we simply can? I mean seriously it doesn't make you anymore charismatic then you really think you are by doing this over and over on repeat. I'm not specifically targeting anybody saying this I'm just tired of reading the complaints about the lack of mod support for something that really has no use for it yet. Hell I don't expect people to stop but I also don't expect a finished product either judging by who the devs are.

it is if it drives away customers

its the users who host servers that need a solution for that

I don't think you understand how hosting a server works

You forget more important stuff like the clear as day ddosing problem and the stuffty download rates.
ddosing isn't badspots problem, its the users who host servers that need a solution for that, download rates i do agree with but idk if that's a limitation to the engine or that's strictly set from when the game came out initially.

f2p or big youtuber isnt going to revive blockland

stop having fever dreams that this game will return to how it was back in 2009 - 2013
Nobody is talking about reviving the game, just ways of trying to bring the game some attention, no stuff the game isn't gonna get near its peak like the old days. That's a literal pipe dream everybody is aware of.

Hopefully someone with more hosting experience will see this. I wouldn't mind hosting something adventurous but I've been out of the game quite awhile and am relearning hosting completely so me making something new and exciting would definitely take time
I have stuff I made already that's got that adventurous theme, truthfully my main issue is it needs more content, maps specifically, it has 15 classes and 3 playable maps. It's truthfully the only reason I haven't hosted it in a while, specially I have a few other projects I'm trying to focus on more. But it be nice for a change of pace to see what others make, it's really not hard to make anything it's just you need to be willing to put in the time.
