You will need foraging to find 'string' string is pretty much spindy taproot or any root you find, it will be an odd brown looking stringy thing and you will right click it. You will get the root and you will select the root and right click it on the fishing pole, then you will take your bait and right click it on the pole. Now the bait only works for each fish you get so you'll need to make more than just one piece of bait. Now you are most likely to get a fish where they are jumping, if you don't see any follow the river untill you do or find a boat.

On topic with water I'm thinking on making a small little 'boathouse' down by the river by me, since my camp itself is fairly far away from the water to keep from being raided before I had my claim. So I'm thinking I'll just set a claim over a small little fence and possibly pave it, so are you able to have multiple claims?
