excuse me sir but that's a bullstuff excuse
You've been putting off editing it for months, and even started on a playthrough of Portal while still saying "I'll do it eventually" and "bro I have more important things to do."
I had time to make a Portal playthrough.
I didn't have time to edit the video.
Editing those videos takes more time and effort than you think; I have to first watch every single clip the entire way through and make notes about which ones to include in the video, then I have to actually put them in the video, one at a time, editing in text/sound effects/visual effects/etc. if/when needed, and finally render the thing in 720p resolution so that it actually looks nice, which, judging by the length of the previous two parts, takes anywhere from 1 hour to 5 hours, and then I have to actually upload it, which takes about another 2 hours.
In total, I spend about 6-8, give or take 1 or 2, hours, editing each of those parts. Making a Portal walkthrough takes substantially less time to make, edit, and upload.
As for doing it at an earlier time, I actually have had more important things to do.
I cannot edit it this weekend, obviously, because I have no laptop, and if I manage to get it back by next weekend at the earliest, I'll try to at least begin the editing process and see how far I get.
If I haven't already told you this, for the next two months I will be up to my eyeballs in writing two essays, a 1000-1500 word one and a 4000 word one, studying for any finals I have, and three IB Biology papers, on which I absolutely must score well or I risk not receiving my diploma next year.
I'm already in an extraordinarily hostile mood if you couldn't already tell, and editing a sarcastic gameplay video is nowhere near the top of my list right now, so if you'd kindly get the forget off my case about something about which at the current time I couldn't be paid to give a flying stuff, that'd be monumentally appreciated. Thanks in advance.
