I've decided to turn the large room into a "Battle Operations Maintenance Sector"
Essentially, it will be where the Seizurite energy is distributed throughout the ship's weapon systems and the inner workings of the defenses like shields and cannons.

The Energy Distribution Core is going to be hung somewhere above that little dip in the floor. I'll probably have a little catwalk going directly above it, too. Lots of tubes, piping and support beams will go from the core and into the walls along it.
There's also a moderate sized space right above the room where the base of the top mounted cannon is. I'll probably put a glass roof where you can see the power coil for the cannon, much like the first 2 rooms I finished.
