Theres an irish boat going in :/

WHOOOO THE IRONY IT BURNS CNN is BS

CNN is handicapped, that's what I meant along with all the US news outlets as well, so you shouldn't use them as reliable sources (because they're not).

And yes, you can go the extra mile and never watch news programs to begin with. Reading articles is a far better way of assessing information critically.

Oh yes and this is rich

Second, Israel isn't stupid.  They aren't going to board and detain completely innocent civilians because that would bring them a world of crap.  Do you seriously believe that Israel is just evil and wants to kill and detain innocent people for no reason and deal with the consequences?  Obviously, something else was going on, but CNN (and every other member of the liberal media) wants to spin it against Israel.

I have yet to see evidence that Israel is not completely batstuff insane. EVERYTHING they did was wrong, boarding in international waters, killing passengers and wounding several, then detaining the whole crew. You can't do that. And now one of the commandos that killed 6 people is in line for a loving medal. I am not joking.

Third, they certainly weren't innocent civilians as 8 people were killed by them before and during Israel's boarding of the ship.

What the forget are you talking about. 10 COMMANDOS WERE INJURED, ALL OF THEM SURVIVED. Also, self-defense takes hold here for the flotilla crew. It was loving 4 am in the morning and their ship was being shot at by the Israeli warships, then helicopters flew over and commandos swung down ropes with machine guns. How would you have reacted? If you're being boarded by a tyrannical state Illegally under all those conditions you have every piece of common sense to defend yourself and your buddies. Besides, why couldn't the Israeli forces just jam the loving rudders? This is completely doable without boarding the ship.

Fourth, do you really think that it's only the Islamic terrorist groups that want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth?  Since Syria and Egypt can't beat Israel in a real war, it makes perfect sense for them to fund and support anti-Israel terrorist groups.  Obviously, Turkey wants in on the Israel destruction party too, which makes sense, as they all share the same ideology.

Your allegations hold zero ground. Turkey was one of Israel's allies for one, and Turkey's the one they managed to piss off the most. This is pretty self destructive seeing as Turkey's naval capabilities are far FAR better then Israel's, with higher technology and more forces at their disposal.

You say I think Israel's evil, well I do think they're pretty loving bad, but look who's talking. You make all these allegations towards Muslims, on what grounds? Come on, spill it, because not all Muslims are fundamentalists, and even less of them are terrorists. On top of that terrorism is not born from religious views anyways! (otherwise all Muslims = terrorists, all Christians = terrorists, etc.) Terrorism is born out of world views, usually when an oppressive country makes your life miserable.

To add to that, everyone knew this was a humanitarian aid flotilla, there was literally no reason to think otherwise. And there is still no evidence to prove otherwise, unless you buy into the propaganda which changes the entire story almost daily.

Fifth, that ship was purposely trying to go through the Israeli blockade.  It's called a blockade for a reason, and any true humanitarian group is going to get permission beforehand from Israel (to let them through), as is done all the time.  Obviously, it wasn't a humanitarian group.

They never got to the blockade. THAT'S THE POINT. They were attacked well outside of Israeli waters, under some shaky logic like Preemptive Self Defense (the same logic that led to the Iraqi war), which by the way does not work in a logical world (boils down to you being potentially dangerous to yourself, so you need to kill yourself). If Israeli had a single neuron in their skull they would have waited for the flotilla to reach the blockade, in which case they would have been allowed to capture the ship, technically. One of the major points of the flotilla was to highlight this terrible blockade to the world, which they could have done by being captured in said blockade, on top of trying to get supplies to the Gaza region. Being caught in the blockade is a brave and effective way of making it relevant.

What's funny is that another pro-Palestinian ship is trying to break the Israeli blockade and they are going to do the same thing they did with the last ship.  Seriously, what's wrong with defending yourself against a ship that either wants to attack you, or is going to give supplies to people who want to attack you?

Attack you with what? Construction materials? Lobs of food? Stop making bullstuff up you idiot. There was nothing sinister on that ship. Also the reason the Gaza strip has it in for Israel is because they are being besieged by them. You expect perfect passive victims out of people and I'm sorry but no one is like that.

lol@Israel apologists.

Israel's blockade is harming more innocent people than Hamas by an extreme ratio. Why? Because terrorists are obviously a loving minority.

And Muffinmix, I wouldn't worry about Duckmeister being factually accurate about anything.

http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/meast/06/04/gaza.raid.autopsies/

When you have American citizens being shot by multiple shots to the head and body in international waters while not carrying a lethal weapon by fully armed and trained commandos, I think Israel has done something wrong.

Finally
Secondly, if they were a humanitarian ship, they should have just let them search the ship, find nothing,  let Israel say 'ooops, we goofed, sorry, our bad" and just get on with their lives or at least lodge a protest to their respective government officials. The fact that they openly attacked the troops upon boarding only shows me their intentions were less than humanitarian. More like looking for an excuse to start an unnecessary international incident to support a bleeding heart cause.

Israel didn't want to the ship getting to Gaza, period, and didn't care about searching it. Israel proposed bringing them into their port instead to "redirect" the humanitarian aid supplies to Gaza, the place that they're besieging. Oh sure you want to help rebuild the infrastructure in a country that we're currently trying to prevent from regaining an infrastructure? Go right ahead!

Also the amount of suffering the people of Gaza endure is a good cause. Or perhaps you're too self-centered in your tiny, every-man-for-himself world to notice the real world is going into stuff?

How the forget is helping thousands upon thousands of innocent people from a blockade that ruins their livelihoods and makes them depend on foreign aid a bleeding heart cause?

Gee, I never knew that stuff could blow up Israeli civilians.

Bleeding heart: someone, usually considered politically liberal or leftist, who is very emotional about certain political issues, such as endangered species, downtrodden people, the suffering poor, etc.

I forgot this had negative connotations in the west, I'll change it to "good cause" instead, same thing.

Man You people are being fed lies the people on the ship were BEATING AND THROWING the Israelis overboard cause of their stupid PEACE riot they are PEACE rioters yet they were the ones attacking the Israel troops  the leader of that ship has connections to al Qaeda

what news channels do you people watch didn't they show you the video footage? they were not harmless civilians, the media and the Turkish government wants to make you think that yes

Ah good, the kid who was raised on Fox News is here to give his fair and balanced opinion on the situation.

Hey guys, the IDF totally didn't edit audio or anything right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxY7Q7CvQPQ

I like the name this guy gave to the condition supporters of Israel's inhumanity seem to be plagued with
http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2010/06/israel-derangement-syndrome.html

Many terrorist supply ships run under "humanitarian aid" flags.

I'm happy to see there are still some people that have reason.

You people don't know anything about this crCIA, you're not a loving part of it.
Stop making assumptions and accusations without actually being a part of the loving problem!

Take a moment to think how we feel, and stop looking at charts and numbers, Ones death is a tragedy; A million is just a number.

Think about an 8 year old, who can't sleep safely because he knows that when he will hear that siren he has 30 seconds to get to a bomb shelter or there is a good chance he is loving dead.

Israel is not dumb, we are not trying to kill every single Arab to avoid finding a proper solution to the Palestine-Israel issue. There are people who do sought after peace between these two countries.

Israel has been trying its best to avoid killing innocent civilians by dropping leaflets clearly saying were going to loving bomb the place, get the forget out of there.

If we want peace, actual peace in the middle east, the Palestine nation must find a way to stop the terrorist activists and lower their weapons. then we will be able to make real peace, because if we lower our weapons, Israel will stop existing and so will the Israeli people, the jewish people.

If you want to start judging who is right and who is wrong, come visit the places you keep talking about.

I think I understand now.

I would say something but I dont want to stabbed multiple times in the face.

I'd like to focus on the suffering going on in my own country before I start to worry about any other. How can we take care of other people when we won't even lift a finger to save our own? Haiti was a bad thing, but I didn't donate one cent to that cause. Why? Because people in Louisianna are still homeless from Katrina. that was five years ago! Where is their help that Haiti is getting so rapidly? Why do they still have to wait because the insurance companies screwed them over with a technicality?

Muffin, it's amusing on how judgmental you and the rest of the community have become when something like this comes up. A community populated by pre-teens and teens think they have all the bearings on the world because they have access to the internet and television when both forms of investigative reporting have been proven to be as equally inaccurate as the other, yet somehow the internet has more bearing. Obviously none of you do.

I know for a fact I'm not fully informed of everything and I find it amusing that you all assume I think I do which is where you always begin your replies to me.  That or the tired old excuse of my age. As if I can help how old I am. I've noticed several other people use the same "Yeah well I know because I'm older and you're a kid" line and not one similar retort is made to any of them. Now I know that any time you use it now, it's just a weak personal attack against me and a sign of a losing argument on your behalf. Might as well just stop trying to use it completely. I think it's time you all started to really grow up and learn how to be constructive with your replies instead of constantly attacking people's opinions, beliefs, and statements just because you think it reads wrong to you.

If this is how you people will deal with things like this as adults, then I'll be more than happy to kill myself before I ever enter a retirement home populated with you people. I can just see it now; "Lolz, u pooed urself ol man. Bowel fail. What a cigarette." then off you go to harass the next senior citizen in the next room like the happy little trolls you all try to be.

- "Preemptive Self Defense" (attacking a potential threat) makes no sense on its own (you'd need to attack everyone because everyone constitutes a potential threat), and even less so here when the flotilla country was clearly not a threat.
- Claiming the flotilla country had armaments and failing to find said armaments.

Hmmmm Sounds familiar...

This is funny considering you're bombing the country's infrastructure, things like hospitals, schools, homes, and government edifices (which are required for negotiating peace). The only thing you have failed to dismantle via bombing in Gaza is the blackmarket, which is ironically what has been supplying the local arms in the area.

You are besieging a civilian population to "put them on a diet", quite literally a quote from your prime minister's adviser:
Quote
Israel's policy was summed up by Dov Weisglass, an adviser to Ehud Olmert, the Israeli Prime Minister, earlier this year. 'The idea is to put the Palestinians on a diet, but not to make them die of hunger,' he said. The hunger pangs are supposed to encourage the Palestinians to force Hamas to change its attitude towards Israel or force Hamas out of government.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2006/apr/16/israel

Before you start playing victim why don't you consider what you're putting everyone else through, maybe go so far as to ask the big question "Why do these guys hate us so loving much? What did WE ever do to THEM?".

This is the age of information, or have you not noticed. We live in a world where propaganda can sway the masses to unspeakable acts of evil, while critical, rational thinking can push people to incredible acts of good. You need to arm yourself to the teeth with information and common sense to even hope to assess all the opinion-laden information that bombards you daily. Otherwise you open yourself up to manipulation, to stuff like "bbrown townity of evil" (of national socialist Germany fame). You have a brain, you should use it.

As for your whole argument about opinion or argument being equal/having zero worth or whatever, arguments can always have a little more weight then others which puts holes in that idea of yours. This is completely natural, some opinions are a much more accurate depiction of reality or real events then other opinions. "I think clouds are made of water" has more weight then "I think clouds are made of elephants". Neither are 100% right, but one is still more right then the other.
