Miner progress. The reference picture you sent me looked way too much like the tf2 engineer, so I decided to remove the overalls and make him abit skinnier. Although if you don't like it I can make it more like the reference picture.

Okay I just got back from camp, lotto sunburn. Also DarkStar the miner you've got looks great. Cyanian if your still wondering what to model you could make some misc props or try to model one of bushidos ideas, rusty I'm sorry to say this but the rifle needs to be under 1000 please, it doesn't need alot of details or anything.

Bushido: and are constantly trying to siege the inside of the hill
Bushido: trying to stall the miners until time runs out
Bushido: it's like payload only you spawn right next to the cart

Bushido: we can go so loving wild with the weapon design
Bushido: i just came up with something called the 'stalag sniper'
Bushido: which is basically just an anti-tank rifle made out of heavy metals that fires STALAGMITES at people
Bushido: and 'the pulper'
Bushido: which is essentially a rocket launcher kind of thing that explodes in razor-sharp shards
Bushido: made from a hollowed out log (and profuse amounts of gunpowder)
Bushido: basically it's a crappy and funny looking grenade launcher
Bushido: and of course the coal miner hallmark, the dynamite stick
Bushido: which can be placed on walls 'n stuff and detonates after a preset period of time (or someone on the other team wanders by)

Bushido: worst case scenario, you get a jet of fire

Bushido: they automatically drop if they haven't done significant damage to enemies recently

If you are trying to do a more cartoony style, I would probably make look kinda like a draf. A short guy with a fat belly, and big, muscly arms.

If the current detail is okay I can try to delete as many hidden faces ect as I can and I'll try narrow down some more polys, is around 900 okay? And also what needs making next?

I'm going to have to remake the player model hand as mine doesn't have four separate fingers
and that's only going to ADD to the poly count.
