Doesn't matter what race you can just train other races skills. And before you ask "Which race's ships are the best" They're pretty much equally balanced in terms of Tank/DPS when it comes to combat. Just train with what you like the look of.

Different races have different styles of play however.
For example Caldari ships use shield tanks and are probably the best in electronic warfare. Most of their ships are also missile oriented with minimal turrets.
On the other hand Amarr utilize excellent armour tanks and are much more effective with their lasers then any other weapons.
Then there are Gallante and Minmatar. Having never really payed much attention to their ships I'm not quite sure what they specialize in. But I'm pretty sure Gallante are pretty heavily drone based on a lot of ships.

So I just finished designing my "Goal" for the next few weeks
It's a small gang warfare/hotdrop fit purifier. ~300 DPS/3248 volley damage with torcreeps, plus a bomb launcher that does 8000EM. It has a cloak, sensor dampener and afterburner.
Speed tops out at 905m/s, and it can align in less then 6 seconds.

It will run me a total of 32.9mil once the skills are finished training.

So I log on today planning to make a run for the pos, and see I have some notifications. Pos got all shotted up ): I'm not even going to bother flying out to it, I'm sure it's looted. Sorry you lost some stuff acid :/ but honestly I lost like... close to 900mil in assets through this whole venture. Damn. Damndamndamndamn. Shiiiiiiiiiit.

I think I'm either going to live in highsec for a while or live in nullsec for a while. Possibly NPC nullsec. Maybe get the corp going, who knows.
