Is it possible to export vehicles in blockland with the latest blender or do need to use milkshape? I'm using blender at the moment.

No. Anything going through Blender and into Blockland has to go through Blender 2.49b with the DTS Exporter add-on.

Will/when will there be an exporter for the new one?

Very unlikely since nobody uses DTS anymore from what I gather.

I have found this channel that has a very good tutorial covering a wide range of features in blender 2.6. It's very useful for people who are new in the 3d scene like me.

I'm curious about importing a dts file into blender and making a new playertype, do you have any info about it?

Importing DTS files is near impossible.
Would take years, and if it were me, I'd leave it alone and move on to a different game engine or model.
There was a discussion on the garagegames website about making an importer, but they finally decided not to to avoid possible copyright stuff and whatnot.

the only thing that can import dts is Shaper, which is abandonware, check up in the default player animations topic in either mod discussion or here.

You're confusing. Shaper works just fine. Export to Dirext X .x file in Shaper then import in Blender.

it's .x right? also if I did that, does it keep animations and stuff?

EDIT: I tried searching for the horse model or something not bipedal to base my animations on but couldnt find any. if anybody knows where to get it, I would be very thankful

It doesn't keep the animations. The horse model is in the Vehicle_Horse add-on.

Wasn't thinking about shaper when I typed that, thinking about how long it would take to make the exporter

Everyone please read the original post, I have made a very important edit to it regarding the latest Blender version. (2.63) It affects every Blender user!

Here's another method of dealing with the issue.
In blender 2.6.3, export as an obj.
in blender 2.4.x, import the obj
there you go, you keep colors shapes and shades.
note:
this has the downsides of combining everything, and removing empties.

oh i made a modle in 2.6 but i can't use it for blockland!
why not?
because blockland mod tools are ancient outdated crap thats why!
