Author Topic: Ostinyo's Mapping Tutorial  (Read 100191 times)

Found out the answer to my own problem, the whole textures showing up as grass thing, part of it was detail texture, and another part was simply choosing a different starting map ;D. For future reference if your having this problem just start on the alchatof wilderness map and simply level everything. That's what i did...
EDIT: Nevermind, just repackaged and reloaded.

I know in your tutorial you said anything over 8 may break water but can it still be possible to use it?

Everything else besides water will still work fine. You could put it up to 16 or 32 and it should be fine; just the terrain will become less detailed and more stretched out.

Do you know if it's possible to use Terragen 2 in conjunction with the mission editor's heightmaps?

Hey im using the tutorial right now and in flatlands I only have grass and dirt textures :\

You can create it before you launch Blockland and after you close it.

Yes, you can import new ground textures while editing a map.

And in case there's sort of miscommunication going on, adding textures to this screen is what I mean by importing.

Oh lol im just confused about packageing the maps

Well what do you need help with? You said "importing textures" but I don't quite understand what you mean.
