Really nice build but you may have been able to get more detail into it if you made it bigger

But the build itself is very nice 8/10

I made this build so it would be in scale with a Blocklander, based on plans to the real thing.

UPDATE:

I have realized recently that what I thought was two different models of the GE AC4400CW is actually the same engine, just two different sides. As a result, I modified the engines' left sides to increase their accuracy:

Here is the right side of the train. It kept its old look:

Now, here is the altered left side. Note the raised walkway directly after the train's cab:

A close up of the changed walkways, including the ladders I just added:

You might have noticed that the colors in these image are brighter and more vivid than in the last set. This is because the images on the first page were taken on an online server with a darker color set than my own, default ones, which were used in this batch.

Lol, I watched you build this on Krystal's server. c:

I love it, hon. Love it!

I can make a train soundpack if you guys really want me to. It doesn't take too much out of my time but I'm still pretty dam lazy.
If you could, that would be greatly appreciated!

See the second post for how you can help with the complete train's construction!

The latest adjustment: Added what appears to be ventilation to the aft portion of the roofs of both locomotives.

Slate Moving Ground is epic.

On another note, if you want to see the two locomotives in person, I currently have them on Krystal's server, still working at them: http://blockland.us/detail.php?ip=24.224.179.67&port=28600&blid=4702

Ill try to whip up some train sounds for you! (If you need?) - [   ] - Yes? [   ] - No?

Some diesel train sounds would be very fun in my opinion, so go right ahead!

As for the brackets, if you're referring to the two [?]s in the second post, that's saying, as the "Other Help Needed:" section of the post says, that that information (in this case the company that owns the cars) is something that I need, but do not, at the moment, have.

I fixed some things in the two engines: I noted on 3D model of the train that there seems to have been a black triangle-like shape on the nose. Re-watching the trailer confirmed that there was, in fact, an amount of black on top of the train's nose, so I recolored it. I also fixed an issue with the engines' front stripes after noticing in the trailer that I got the slant at the edges of the stripes wrong.

Here's a picture of these changes:

A thanks to Orthone for eventing "moving" tracks.

The next thing I'm going to do is add vents to the sides, and I will be ready to begin working on a closed hopper, the next four cars on the train.

Also, I currenlty have a server up. I find that certain people are able to join. If "certain people" means you, please feel free to drop by and mess around.

Last update before I go to sleep: I added additional details to the trains. The major difference is the new set of vents on the middle and rear area of both engines:

At this point, I believe I should start working on the rest of the train's consist. I will begin building the closed hopper when I wake up if all goes according to plan.

I have done some minor work on the two types of hoppers I listed, but I cannot proceed any further until I have at least a height figure, but preferrably a 2D side view of the types of cars I'll be building. I am having trouble finding these, though, so I wish to receive help from you all in my search.

Instead, I spent a fair period of time finishing adding lights. Because the railings seem to have messed up raycasting, I turned it off on the front rails so that the lower lights could shine through. Here are the headlights to the two locomotives:

You can see some dimensions mapped out to the train's left. They are labeled "closed hopper" to the right, and "cylindrical hopper" to the left. I would greatly appreciate any help I can get in finding information on these.

Here is a picture of the lights from the perspective of precisely where you don't want to be:

Again, I request help in finding out more information on the physical dimensions of the cars in the rest of the consist. Unless I get such information, I will continue to simply work on the locomotives.

Got more information on several of the cars thanks to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NhCWwuu2Gs; second post updated. Also, I now know the identity of over half of the cars in the train's entire consist!

I still need plans, though.

From all the footage I have found of the train, it seems that there were not 39 cars on it, because virtually all video of the complete train consist that I have found has only the cars currently on the list in the second post.

Therefore, unless someone can find video proof of additional cars in the middle of the train, or can provide a theory of how there might be 39 cars with 8 tank cars, this shall be my list of units that make up 777:

1. Diesel engine - AWVR 777
2. Diesel engine - AWVR 767
3. Covered hopper - yellow - Trans Grain
4. Covered hopper - pale blue - Murrigan
5. Covered hopper - green - Trans Grain
6. Covered hopper - green - Trans Grain
7. Cylindrical covered hopper - beige - DV&K
8. Cylindrical covered hopper - dark tan - DV&K
9. Tank car - black - Prixton Chemical
10. Tank car - black - Prixton Chemical
11. Tank car - black - Prixton Chemical
12. Tank car - black - Prixton Chemical
13. Covered hopper - black - [?]
14. Covered hopper - black - [?]
15. Covered hopper - black - [?]
16. Flat car - brown bed with yellow walls - [?]
17. Flat car - brown bed with yellow walls - [?]
18. Tank car - black - Prixton Chemical
19. Tank car - black - Prixton Chemical
20. Tank car - black - Prixton Chemical

I loved that movie :3

I think 16 and 17 are also tankers.

I think 16 and 17 are also tankers.
Nah, they're flat cars. They play a fairly major role in the film, and images and videos of the consist confirm their flatbed-with-load-ness. Also, it is stated that there are eight tank cars on the train.

I'll withdraw my statement if you can show video or picture proof that they're tankers; mine are in the "Sources" section of the second post in this thread, namely the last video or two.
