Following up on Flamecannon and Camera
Now cheer up and go and make the best dang picture you ever made!

May have even been "HUEHUEHUE!"

group therapy from the blockland forums.

so are we all gonna share how we improved at drawing through just drawing or something?

maybe I'm not the best example for this mostly cuz i have no confidence in my own drawings and also because I haven't improved anywhere near as much as Camera or Flamecannon BUT I SHALL PRESS FORWARDS ANYWAY

when I started drawing it looked like this

I couldn't even draw a circle...
that's absolutely pitiful how did I live with myself

then...

through the years...

little by little,

it becomes more tolerable.

Not sure if this is a good example since I don't have anything like backgrounds that become better drawn (in relation to the perspective) or more detailed. I don't even have any comics up there where I try a perspective I don't normally use (aka not 3/4, front-on, side-on, or top down), because I do draw that sort of thing more often now since I have more confidence in my ability to make it look decent. Even so, I think just looking how it becomes more consistent and neat somewhat implies that, although it wouldn't be unreasonable not to think so.

That's just comics though. I can also kinda draw other stuff better now. I guarantee I probably couldn't even draw at least 85% of the stuff I do now when I started drawing. Even after just a year of drawing these simple little characters, I somehow also got better at drawing other things as well.
I mean, you could just look at the other art stuff I've drawn (if you skip the like 16 or so pages of only text) and find stuff like this

that, while not particularly impressive, and probably filled with errors, is probably astronomical units ahead of what I could draw before.
I'm sure nearly everyone that's drawn looks back on most, if not all, of their old artwork with disdain.

...i sincerely hope these posts don't get responded to with a "yeah but i'm not you guys" or something...
in fact, how much I half-backtrack and say "Look how much better this is! but it still is bad" probably ruins the intended effect...

that is truly the best thing anyone here has posted so far
strive for that, bloukface

i have like thousands of these hahah

honestly, i dont know why you guys want to improve in "art" at all. no matter how good you get you'll still think you're stuff. because the truth is you're always going to do stuff and the people who actually dont draw like stuff think they draw stuff. and the people who dont think they draw stuff, draw like stuff

drawing is stuff and life is stuff forget art

i swear im only half serious, which is actually pretty bullstuff

Another version of the main protagonist in my RPG.

Made this on my schools tablet. The ISO app is called brushes 3 ( it will just show up as brushes )

I Just read the last two Pages.
This is why I love this forum.
No matter how much we bitch and argue between each other, we will always help anyone who is in need of it.

On another note Blouk, you're much better at art than I could imagine me being able to be.
Don't take criticism as failure. there will always be errors or improvements on everything everyone draws.
