it doesn't have limits, it's strictly bad

what it does can be done by other tools with much better looking results

who cares if it's faster, if something else looks better you should always use that, that's the very thing that makes great artists great: going the extra mile to make something as good as it can possibly be.

Okay we are literally going in circles here now because you aren't seeing the point: You think its bad and can't be used. Others may and do disagree. The others may use the airbrush tool well and make good art. Perhaps someone has used the airbrush tool in something you liked but didn't even know it because it was used well. This is equivalent to saying Tumblr or Facebook is bad because all they see is stuff because that's what is being overtly projected by other people. Yes, people can and do use the airbrush poorly. This is what is pervasive in your perception of the airbrush tool. But there are people who use the airbrush well. And to the brown townogy, there are people and blogs on Tumblr and Facebook that are good, and its that which you do not notice, and that which needs no words to speak.

Tl;dr you're treating your opinion as objective fact.

it seems I can't say a word in this thread without getting into a huge loving argument that ends with everyone hating me so I'll just post pictures and leave from now on

The only time I use the airbrush tool is for landscapes, like for the sun, beams of lights and small details. Sort of like this that I made a while ago because I was moving. It's all preference and style.

But anyways, Blouk just forget the people who harass you over a simple thing (Not literally, that would be gross.). Just learn to take constructive criticism better and don't think your drawing is complete crap because just something small is wrong with it.

or argument if you wanna look at it like that
but if you really brown townyze the argument thoroughly, you can learn alot of others people's views on art, and also some general tips, all of which I enjoy just as much as seeing drawings, and others could to if people actually listened to the tips people gave them or atleast tried making something of them

The airbrush can be used to make FLAWLESS gradients
Let me show you the PTS airbrush

This one is REALLY flexible and you can set it to all kinds of settings

Yes I made these gradients on the right
I set the density to 10 and the brush edge type to the softest one
So you can't say its 100% useless

I was trying to be constructive but I suck at handling dissenting opinions so when ShadowsfeaR called me out about the airbrush I wouldn't let it go

Takato, I don't normally say this, but; I really respect the fact that you can actually recognize that you actually have flaws, and can come out and apologize (and I'm not talking about "I'm sorry guys" topics). You're a cool dude in my book. ;)
