Depends on the game.

Dynasty Warriors Online is much better with a controller, along with the console Dynasty Warriors games. (Good for directing your attacks with the left stick, which is any angle, where keyboard/mouse you're limited to 8 angles with WASD, hard to land combos that way)
But shooters and other first/third person games where the view is always behind the player, keyboard and mouse.

I'm totally aware that a mouse/keyboard makes you more accurate, but I'm not that competitive to begin with. I like the controller for comfort.

Keyboard/mouse for FPS like CoDBlops and multi-tasking things, like GTA IV. I constantly use the mouse to look around while driving, and I also can open my trainer with the number pad and keep moving around while using it for maximum shenanigans.

But for platforming like Super Meat Boy and racing games like Blur or Burnout, I like to use a gamepad, especially for the racing games. It's important for me to be able to have that ability to make subtle turns, braking and acceleration, where a keyboard is all or nothing.

when you use the mouse, and turn to the left all the way, you have to move it back, which makes it pause for a second
with controller, when you move to the left, you go forever

controllers are more comfortable and are generally more convenient in my opinion. for example on the xbox or playstation, to go the main menu you just click the center of the controller to go into your settings. on the pc you have to exit your game and open steam
