Hahahaaaaa...

I just can't find anything to do nowadays. :D

Are you suggestion UPnP compatibility be removed?
I think you have it wrong. I like the new versions, I dislike the old versions.

I think you have it wrong. I like the new versions, I dislike the old versions.

But the way you said your last comment made it negative. Anyways, what do you think needs to still be improved?

I like the newer versions. They have more options, add ons, players, etc. I've always been confused why people would like older/obsolete versions more. Since I came here at v12

I liked playing during v10 the most though. Probably because I made a few friends.

I think my favorite versions were probably v7 and v8. I cant really remember much from 1.031m and that might be because I got it like, 2 days before v7 came out... I don't really remember when I got v1.031m I just know it was in 2007 :P

IMO the latest version is the best, because the gameplay is always being improved and bugs are being fixed for us.
The old versions had a stuffton of bugs.

I think it's that no one is important anymore. Now that everyone can host, and more players moved in, the typical anti social "elite" players decided to stop playing instead of attempting to make friends with the new players, because all new players are bad. Having a bunch of idiots join doesn't matter. So what if the top 10 servers are all RPs. Find another server or host your own.
Just because someone is a terrible host doesn't mean we should take their rights away as well as the rights of other decent hosts.

Port forwarding is a pain in the ass, and I'm sure you know. Not only that, but even as it was hard, terrible servers still managed to pop up here and there.

You see, if your server isn't good, nobody is going to come to it, and if your server is made up of stupid stuff everybody likes, then people will flood into it, but the decent player amount of 7-15 hasn't really changed at all.

This malodorous opinion over the good and the bad times is absolutely useless and aggressive behavior that doesn't fix any of the community's problems. Good times or not, this is still Blockland.

The game itself isn't what people liked more about back then.
It would be the players of that game.

Ya the players of V8 era were cool.

That and when I hosted a server people actually joined it not like it is now, with a sea of servers.

Nostalgia gives everything a rosy tint.

I see this in all the MMOs I play.  The veterans get all nostalgic and think that the past was always greater, especially since some of the time it's because they are brand new and everything seems interesting to them.  Although I didn't actually play BL when V8 came out, I was lurking and knew about the new features etc.

Anyways, the vets are getting older and things probably seem a bit repetitive for them.  The game is better now but they had better experiences back then, they just aren't happy with the newer "community".  Partly because it's different, and partly because there's more people and it's not as much of a tight "family".

Then there are all the 10 year old kids jumping on the bandwagon and screaming to people that the past versions of the game were so much better, even though they have no valid reasons as to why.

Games like this are what you make of them.

Nostalgia gives everything a rosy tint.
Agreed.
When you look back on a childhood TV show, you think,"That show was awesome".
Watching it 10 years later, you think,"How Could I have liked this?"

eh for me port forwarding ruined the game before you hosted a sever and everyone joined good or bad because of the little amount of severs on weekdays etc after that it became a sea of severs mostly noobs it takes an hour for someone to come i have everything ready put time and effort in the build for some guy to come completely lost and leave it just makes you feel stuff mostly the reason why i don't even try/build anymore also the RPG era is to blame mostly family rps. (my thought on this subject all v's before 16 were good)

The only thing I miss about earlier versions is no sqlite problems.
