Guild Wars 2 is an up-and-coming MMORPG developed by Arenanet, and published by NCsoft. Guild Wars 2 is the sequel to the original Guild Wars (and the Eye of the North expansion pack), which was released in 2005. Guild Wars 2 was announced and under development starting in 2007. The game is expected to release later this year or early next year. The game will feature 8 unique professions (of which 7 have been announced), 5 unique races, full scale World v World v World PVP, a massive-scale dynamic event system, innovative combat and combat role mechanics, and no monthly fees.

Personally I'm extremely excited for this, since all the generic MMOs I've been playing have started to kind of blend together and feel the same.
