so apparently whenever you make a new world with the same character then you get the same tools as you had in the world before. So basicly im still without a pick.

Which allows for the little protip:

Beds work like NPC's, they have to have a room to be in with a non-dirt wall, and a door. It doesn't need a chair and table though.
So you'd have to set up camp everywhere to do this, and then you'd have to walk all the way back to your original spawn point every time you want to go back.
