I'm going to guess it's your firewall.  Did you make sure to hit unblock whenever you started your server for the first time?

It's funny how this game got somewhat boring after you get most of the things in the game and clear out all the dungeons and cave exploring is pointless and whatnot.

If you were given free items or bought everything you didn't have, that's what happens. I'm still hunting through the underground jungles because I'm missing everything from there except the vine whip. Acquiring items is half the fun, get all of the items handed to you and you miss out on half the game.

I plan on Let's Playing a new singleplayer character/world eventually. No hand-me-downs or anything.
