I feel so accomplished, even though I haven't defeated a boss. I have a nice small settlement going on, my guide is dead, I shot him, so I need to find him again, I have an essential "road"  going from my area to the corruption on my left, which then leads on to the ocean. I have 10 bars of demonite, which I want to make into a pick. Full mana and I think health, have a steady supply of plants and ores coming in. All I really need is some tips on what I should be looking for or doing.

Also, I've already found one floating island, I have the largest map, so I read there are more. I've reached the underworld, found a few of those hellstone towers and I have a stack of the bricks, got that fire rose and the water spell book, and I have 50 gold saved up.

After you brake maybe 1-3 of those a metorite should fall. Metorites are the next tier up from gold. A small warning though, once you brake your third shadow orb a Eater of Worlds will appear, and they're annoying as hell.

I've already broken 1 shadow orb to get a musket with dynamite. Also, don't you have to defeat the eater of worlds to make the nightmare pick?
