Don't you understand the concept of 'playing legitimately'? Some people don't like hackers gaining advantages over others and the sorts. Those people don't like it and you should definitely respect their decision and not use hacks.
Edit:
Also they own those servers. They will do as they please. You don't like it? Don't play on them.
Granted, but I don't understand why I'm in the wrong. All I did was go on a server and attempt to help someone who, as it turned out, did not want my help.
I went into shortcuts hellavator and speed dug.at his request, I then replaced the dirt I had dug and went aboveground, all the while trying to understand (via numerous questions in chat) why shortcut did not want my help.
I worked on my base a little, and then went down and stood in disconnected caverns for a while with a light. I also tried to place torches for him, but I was told off again, and went topside.
I then went down in debug mode, which lets you view the map without actually going there, and lights your mouse cursor.
Someone else joined the server, an admin.
Fast forward. I had disabled debug mode, and the admin was standing with shortcut as shortcut did all the work (he was working on his hellivator).
I no clipped ahead of them into a dark cave in the lava layer, and started planting torches. Shortcut raged again and I was banned.
I did NOTHING beyond the torches and digging and replacing dirt.
On another server that shut down recently, I used the tmod client to help their server recover from grief at least 6 times.
I was then promoted to mod.
On another server, I joined and role played a merchant that sold any item, for a price. Materials for dirt cheap, tools and weapons for more money.
I don't join a new character server with an end game set of tools.
I don't join a server and blow all the buildings up.
I join servers and help if they want help, and don't if they don't, so tell me how i'm in the wrong for trying to play with other people.. On a multiplayer server.
Oh, and shortcut doesn't own viodestructo.
Hell, I was under the impression Khorde did.
