It's Vechs Super Hostile Terraria, it's a really badass map and it's actually a huge challenge for someone with the absolute best gear in the game. By the way, I highly recommend using a mana regen set with jungle armor because flying is an absolute necessity for the hell part of it. Also, having this on loop makes it 100x more bad ass somehow.

Also, it'd be cool if like in a future update you could find a village of surviving humans in the Underworld. Only they aren't quite human anymore, and they've taken on a new physique due to the extreme conditions. They've become taller, larger, and they've built heat resistant, leathery skin with a reddish tone. Maybe they could lead you to a new Underground boss?

The village is mostly Hellstone brick, because of their heat resistance and how they have no access to other natural resources. Like I said, the villagers would probably be taller and maybe a bit wider than the average player. They'd have dark red skin and possibly horns. They'd wear minimal clothing, possibly pants or just shattered clothes. There'd be 5-10 of them, including a merchant and possibly a seller of hellstone bricks and walls. The villagers, when talked to, would speak poor English and talk about a legend of a powerful beast that travels through lava and kills bone serpents with little effort. Maybe a shady character outside of the town could teleport you to it's domain to fight it. Maybe it could be a gigantic bone serpent on fire or made of lava. The only way to exit the lair would either be to die or to use your magic mirror. Maybe it could drop pieces of a new set of armor or a rare new weapon? Also, after it's killed you could create an object to summon it out of hellstone and ash at a demon altar and be able to go back to it's lair and summon it again? I'm guessing it would be very high leveled, possibly around the same difficulty of Skeletron or higher? Maybe heat based weapons have no effect on it?

For those who hate tMod for it's annoyances, you can check out tShock.

It's basically does the same, minus the devs hungry for your cash and plus the plugins support.

It's also open source and is continously updated to be released (all changes are released immediately)

Here's two nifty little plugins for those who use the API

Changes:
- Added ItemPlugin.dll which is not included in the package by default (Press F9 to open the form, press Ctrl + B to open piggy bank anywhere)
- Modified TrainerPlugin.dll, brought back God Mode and added Infinite Item Stacks (enable Max Stacks option in the Trainer form)

I'm doing this for those who want to build peacefully. Griefing others is a richard move, I'm warning you.

I'm not going to explain how are you going to put it in the API or even get the API, google for answers.

EDIT: Revised the TrainerPlugin.dll

Changes:
- Kinda fixed the God Mode
- Added Invisibility (someone test this in multiplayer for me)
