Terraria - 2D Minecraft More focused on RPG/Action, surprise 1.3 :^)

Most of the builds I see are always like a big area being held up by a this jumping area.
Is there some advantage to building like this?

If handicaps leave your doors open slimes and whatever else won't come through and bother you. If it's high enough it also negates Blood Moon zombie invasions.

kind of want to make a new character with different colored clothes that look like quote's because while a purple/green shirt and turquoise pants are unique they just look weird with the robot hat

im sad that i cant just buy a spare set on a different character and keep it's colors

i lost 30 health potions by storing them in the trashcan while using stone blocks to make a wall
i put the stone blocks in the trashcan and then the health potions were destroyed

im submerged in water and get burned by lava
i stay on fire even though im smothered in water

meanwhile, jumping in lava then jumping in water negates fire damage
