Corruptors shoot Vile spit which corrupts areas, so your pretty much forgeted unless you posess a house in one of the corners in the map
and the land under the house is made out of dirt and its floating

Vile spit will turn grass into corrupt grass, and stone into ebonstone. It is able to spread on mud blocks by slowly turning them into dirt blocks. Dirt cannot be corrupted, only the grass on it. To prevent corruption/hallow, cover surfaces with snow, clay, ores or wood.

i had 2 FUUUUUUUUU- moments while getting my legendary excalibur when i was reforging i made so much lag with the pickup text i lagged and skipped Legendary and went straight to Broke i did this 2 times LOL!
