Never really understood how a game like Terraria could have a sequel. Like, the gameplay only works one way so what are they going to be able to do in the second one that will make it so different?

i think there are a lot of different mechanics red wants to implement that wont be possible in the current terraria because of how things are. like, he couldn't change the way tools work because everyone is used to the way it is currently and changing it would be too game breaking. he just wants to start fresh so he can make things differently and try to take a different route with some game mechanics.

Oh yeah I guess that makes sense. A lot of sense. At first I rolled my eyes when he announced Terraria 2 but now I'm a bit more interested in it.

I heard they're making a creative mode.

Is this true?
