i find it hard to believe that hell used to be endgame and the jungle used to be almost pointless to go to

It wasn't THAT pointless, but it did have the least amount of items to get
it consisted of like 2 main things, Jungle armor and the grass blade
now it's advanced to have a dungeon and bee hives
and maybe more from 1.3

what are you talking about, underground jungle exploration was always super fun (and rewarding)

it was fun but unless you went with magic(?) mostly it wasn't very rewarding at all
the grass blade, chakram and vine grapple hook thing were really the only things worth going there for, then you never needed to go back after getting them, as to where it's now one of the most important areas in the game (plantera, golem, life fruit, chlorophyte(?) ore, bee hives)

also i REALLY hope there's a ton of new music in this update

Achievements for killing rare enemies will be easy for me.
I'm very lucky when it comes to Terraria.

Another thing:

Funkytown
Build or encounter a glowing mushroom field above the surface.

Will there be a chance for mushroom biomes to spawn on the surface by itself?

I think it just means you don't have to build it, someone else on a server could build it and you could see it to get the achievement
