I have never had a problem with TF2, now GMOD, that's a different story.

it went like this
attempt to check soldier loadout - crash
check soldier loadout next open, works fine. check pyro loadout - crash
then i ignore loadouts entirely and fail to join a server three times then join a payload server.
join spectator, then attempt to join BLU, crash.

apparently not just mac people are being crashed from this either.

It was a bot-free server, and the only idling people were in the spawn where I couldn't get them. Everyone I killed or tried to kill shot back.

Eh, no. It's only good practice if you play on maps that are not meant for idling/trading/achievements. :x
