you'd have to spend $249 if you want to make sure you get an unusual :C
no not really
you'd have to spend much, much more

both of you are wrong, lol.
you can't decide "you HAVE to spend this much"
I could buy one loving key and open up a burning birdcage (oh god in heaven please)
but still
chance doesn't work by static numbers

He's not wrong. You have the same odds every time you open a crate, so there is no set amount you need to spend to guarantee getting an unusual. You could unbox 100 items and get none, or you could get one with a single key. Even though the odds are extremely low, it's completely possible to get 5 in a row.

No there isn't. There is no max. You could open enough to bring your odds up to 99%, but that is still not a guarantee. It never will be.

if you were to unlock 100 crates
it would cost 249 dollars
meaning you're trying a 1/100 chance of getting an unusual

if you open 100 crates it's not a 1/100 chance of getting an unusual y'know

If your lucky you will open 100 crates and get 100 unusuals

Volko tracked me down and joined the server I was on. I told him I wasn't trading it, and I was only mocking him with the post. He proceeded to cry, call me a lil weaboo bitch (or something), then ragequit. I had a hearty chuckle.

You're assuming perfect world in your probability

In reality that's not how it works
