Just because you're in space doesn't mean gravity takes the day off.
Sig'd.
That was such a stupid thing to say :D
Unless of course you were being sarcastic...forget.
Sig'd either way.

my first lauch... was a fail

But there IS gravity in space.

Also this game is great. Especially that one astronaut who doesn't even need his name mentioned.

I just completed a successful 2 orbit mission! The rocket I used was quite simple, and it was really easy to get into orbit. I had just enough fuel for a deorbit burn too. It took a long time (1 hour and 35 minutes), but it was worth it.

EDIT: By the way, you can give the experimental version of 0.83 a try now. Its below the 0.82 download.

Speaking of orbits, some data on my orbital mission using the Blaman 2:

Total mission time: 03:06:10
Highest altitude achieved: 223436m (during launch, before trajectory corrections)
Highest speed achieved: 2347m/s
Highest speed over land: 2346.9m/s
Ground distance covered: 23232.2km
Total distance traveled: 23309.68km
Apogee: 223318m, 11 meter variation during 7 orbits
Perigee: 95336m, 11 meter variation during 7 orbits

Now that I think of it I really should have measured speeds, but it didn't come to mind. :s

All right, I think I spent way too much time on this mission:

How the forget can they be all happy when their stuff exploded?
