How exactly did he get your key?
Shouldn't it be able to only register once?
If so, its your fault for letting him get a hold of your key, and he owes you a new key.

I bought the game before it was on Steam, and I was logged into the KSP store on his laptop. He activated the key on his account not knowing it would permanently link it. I can't download it from the KSP store, which is part of the deal with the steam code.
